FREE IMPROVISATION AT LUMIERE SUNDAY 24.04.2011 AT 8PM

LUMIERE, 88 CHATSWORTH RD, E5 0LS

Johan Nyström (electronics), Matthew Waters (electric guitar), Tom Soloveitzik (tenor sax), Russell Callow (found percussion)
Duo Jerry Wigens (clarinet) - Thomas Kumlehn (flute/voice)

Tickets £5   Booking: lumierelondon@hotmail.co.uk

This Sunday's concert is hopefully the first in a series of events reflecting the lively London free improvisation scene with players drawn mostly from among the participants of Eddie Prévost's weekly workshop.
The concerts don't however always aim to align with the workshop aesthetics of explorations in sound production, but give the performers freedom to venture into whatever stylistic realm they like with whoever they wish – other UK improvisers or guests from abroad.
This Sunday, in addition to a line-up of versatile London improvisers, we have the chance to hear a special guest performer from Germany, flautist/vocal improviser Thomas Kumlehn in a duo with clarinetist Jerry Wigens.

Come and join us for an evening of captivating sonic discoveries in the cosy and intimate surroundings of the newly opened cocktail lounge Lumiere!
